  Hotel was excellently placed for discovering the city, very central yet at a quiet end of the street. Staff were very friendly and professional.

  carpets need replacing but to be fair hotel is undergoing renovations and they will be replaced in the near future Im sure.

  The room was very nice and service was excellent. Hotel Victoria's location in the center of the financial district made it very accessible to buses, streetcars, subway, restaurants and tourist stops. We enjoyed it very much and would stay again.

  Just two minor, very minor things we did not like - the elevator was slow and the ice was in the basement. Given the constraints of an older building, both are probably inevitable.

  There was a construction of the lobby going on and it was very disruptive qand noisy. I was not warned about it prrior to the booking.

  It's in a great location, and is quiet and comfortable. The lobby was under renovation during my stay, so I can't comment on that.

  We were met by Clara at reception who was most helpful re the the general area and with booking trips ect. The room on the 3rd floor was excellent,tastefully furnished.All dealings with the Lobby staff was professional. The location could not have been better. Would recommend to friends travelling to Toronto and would stay there again if I have reason to be in the City.

  Close proximity to the conference center in the Sheraton hotel. Wooden floors. Clock radio with iPod docking station.

  Due to wooden floors and gap between doors and floors, sounds coming from rooms were very audible in the hallway and neighbouring rooms. The luxury rooms are at the front side of the hotel, which is very noisy due to heavy traffic. I booked a luxury room, but swapped it for a room facing the back. Much more peaceful, but no view.

  We sweltered through a couple of nights before a helpful staff member told us how to operate the air conditioning! It would have been useful if there had been a notice on the wall for the benefit of clients like ourselves who are not used to air conditioning.

  I liked the convenient location in downtown Toronto - it was close at attractions, shopping and the Union Station.

  I found the pillow too firm and wished I had brought my softer pillow from home.

  Classy bedding, Small room but very compact. Excellent Bathroom design. Quality towels. Location is outstanding.

  Parking is an issue. I think we could have been emailed [ with our confirmation the parking instructions} told to us when we got to the hotel. That way we would have known there was a drop off stop at the hotel and where to park for the hotel rate of about $15 a night instead of $57 at another lot. We didn't know. I think it's possible to let people know before arriving in Toronto.
